I am a sophomore in high school, I love to read, write, play video games (btw, I can kick your trash at Mario Kart Wii :D ) nap, hang with friends, sing, dance, act, etc. I also love to be behind the scenes with makeup and costuming in musicals.
I love to read and write, English is one of my favorite subjects because of that! I love to convey my thoughts and emotions through writing because for me it is much easier than orally presenting them. I believe the written word is beautiful and wonderful to read. Some of my favorite poetry comes from the book Faust, a story written in poetry format that's absolutely beautiful to read. If I were to pick a genre I like to write about it would have to be personal feelings and thoughts, kind of a memoir/persuasive/autobiography type style =P My favorite things to read are romance novels and mysteries.
I love to sing! I've performed in state honor choirs as well as singing in top choirs at my school. I've improved greatly throughout the years and hope to be able to stick with singing because I love to do it. Some of my favorite pieces I've performed are O Sifuni Mungu, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and a medley of songs from Phantom of the Opera.
I have performed in several plays and musicals, loving every minute of it! Last year I had the opportunity to student direct our school's spring musical Grease, my assignments mostly dealt with behind the scenes stuff, makeup, costuming, etc. It was so much fun! My best story from that would have to be . . . when a young man playing Doody dropped a button from his costume into the toilet in the mens restroom, that was hilarious! The best part, however, was that I had to go in there, reach in the toilet and pull it out because none of the other guys were brave enough to. I washed my hands about ten times after that!!
